For the Armed Forces
Father, we
lift up your mighty host
engaged in the battle for truth.
Protect and empower from coast to coast
each brave overcomer and youth.
Father, grant wisdom, to all who lead
in planning the strategy wise
May the war be won and your righteous will be done
so our Savior and King may arise.
Father, we
lift up your mighty ones
commissioned for dangerous lands;
O grant them the courage of Jacob's sons:
miraculous strength in their hands!
Father, may victory win the peace;
may peace mean diablo's defeat!
With each terrorist chained then shackled wrist to wrist,
cast before our new King, at his feet!
CHORUS: May
we remember the blessed few
Fighting great battles for He who is so true.
O Father, reveal, and show yourself real
to all those who soldier for you, you, you;
for those who have sacrificed for you.
Prayer for the
Working Class Hero
Take our jobs and make them yours, pounding nails or
scrubbing floors.
Take our minds and make them one with the purpose of your Son.
Father, take our occupations; make it into our vocations.
Let us show someone your way when we’re in the field today.
Sharing witness of our King, seeking him in everything.
In our faith I’ll do the deed – We’ll convince that friend in need.
Name the name above all names; we so dare to make my claims.
Gath’ring tax stamps, we build our piles that folks will spot from many
miles.
Claiming souls until the sun shows us that our day is done.
Then we’ll gaze on our reward – mountains rising to our Lord.
But best of all, at mission’s ends; we’ll proudly boast, “we
are his friends.”

Blessing Objects
1. (Objects) Hear our prayer, O Yahweh our Elohim: your Son once laid his hand
heavily upon us. Now we too lay hands on these your creations of {water,
oil, tapes, whatever}. We bless and sanctify these objects to
your use and service. Allow none of these objects to fall on the
trash heap, but place them into the hands of hundreds of people. May all
who receive them utilize them for your glory, whether they know it or
not. May they hear your word, feel your divine protection and experience
your unlimited grace. Now may the blessing of Yahweh Almighty, the
Father, the Son and the set-apart Spirit, rest upon these objects and
reside within them for the mission and ministry of Yahshua of Nazareth, our
Savior and Master. Amein. 2. (Oils) Hear our prayer, O Yahweh our Elohim.
I thank you for the authority to bless the objects of my hands. Your Son once laid his hand
heavily upon me. Now I too lay hands gravely upon these your
creations of oil. I bless and sanctify these oils to
your use and service in healing my affliction. Do not allow these
oils to spill or fall upon the
trash heap, but place them into service as agents of your unction, chrism
and deliverance. May my body and spirit receive them and utilize
them for your glory and testimony to the power of your name. Now may the blessing of Yahweh Almighty
of Spirits, the
Father and Son, rest upon these oils and
reside within them for the mission and ministry of Yahshua of Nazareth, our
Savior and Master. Amein.
The Lørd’s Supper
based on the older version
Let us pray: Almighty
heavenly Father, who mercifully gave your only Son Yahshua Messiah to
suffer death for our redemption, a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the
whole world, who commanded us to continue a memorial of his death until
his return: Hear us. Sanctify these gifts of bread and wine that we may
partake of his divine nature. Amen.
Minister: On the night he was betrayed, he took bread; gave
thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take, eat; this is
my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” {The
bread is lifted, broken and held in up for a moment, then returned.}
Minister: After supper he took the cup; gave thanks, and offered
it to them, saying, “Drink this; it is my blood of the New Covenant, which
is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins; do this in
remembrance of me.” {The cup is likewise lifted and returned.}
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
we desire your goodness to accept our sacrifice of praise and
thanksgiving, asking you to grant that we may be forgiven of our sins and
receive all other benefits of his passion, by the merits and death of your
Son Yahshua Messiah, through faith in his blood,
We offer to you our souls and
bodies as a reasonable and set-apart sacrifice, humbly asking that we who
partake may be filled with your grace and approval.
And though, because of our many
sins, we are unworthy to offer you any sacrifice, yet we ask you to accept
this our duty and service, not weighing our merits, but pardoning our
offenses.
Father Yahweh, allow us to
partake of this Sacrament of thy Son Yahshua Messiah
, that we may walk in
newness of life, may grow into his likeness, and may evermore dwell in
him, and he in us.
Agnus Dei
O Lamb of Yah, who taketh away the sins of
the world,
have mercy upon us.
O Lamb of Yah, who taketh away the sins of
the world,
have mercy upon us.
O Lamb of Yah, who taketh away the sins of
the world,
receive our prayer.
{Other prayers of
thanksgiving, petition or healing may here be said.}
All this through Yahshua Messiah our
Master, by whom, and with whom in the unity of the set-apart Spirit, all honor
and glory be yours, O Father Almighty, world without end. Amen.
{Here the elements are
received; then the benediction is pronounced.}
Eucharist According To
The Didache
(or, The Teaching of the Twelve)
An Apostolic Manual of Discipline
We thank you, set-apart Father, for your set-apart name Yahweh that you have caused
to dwell in our hearts, and for the knowledge and faith and immortality
that you have made known unto us through Yahshua your Son; to you be
admiration forever.
You, Almighty Master, created all things for the sake of your Name, and
have given both meat and drink for us to enjoy that we might give thanks
to you; but to us you have also given spiritual meat and drink and
everlasting life through your beloved Son. Above all, we thank you that
you are able to save: to you be respect forever.
Remember,
O Master, your Congregation, to redeem this remnant from every evil, and
to perfect all in it by your love, and gather it together from the four
winds, even that which has been sanctified for your kingdom you prepared
for it; for yours is the kingdom and the admiration for ever.
Let favor
come then let this world pass away. Hosanna to the Son of David. If any
one is set-apart let him come to the Eucharist; if any one is not, let him
repent. Maranatha. Amen.
First,
concerning the cup: We thank you, our Father, for the set-apart vine, David
your Son, who you have made known unto us through Yahshua the Anointed
One, your Son; to you be the glory for ever.
Then
concerning the broken bread: We thank you, our Father, for the life and
knowledge that you have made known to us through Yahshua your Son; to you
be the glory forever.
As this
broken bread was once scattered upon the mountains, and after it had been
brought together became one, so may your Congregation be gathered together
from the ends of the earth unto thy kingdom; for yours is the glory, and
the power, through Yahshua Messiah, forever.
Dying Prayer of James the Just
Elohi, Abbi –
You who saved me from this dead hope,
who made me alive through a mystery of what he wills,
do not let these days of this world be prolonged for me,
but the day of your [light ...] remains
in [...] salvation.
Deliver me from this sojourn!
Do not let your grace be left behind in me,
but may ' your grace become pure!
Save me from an evil death!
Bring me from a tomb alive,
because your graceful love is alive in me
to accomplish a work of fullness!
Save me from sinful flesh,
because I trusted in you with all my strength!
Because you are the life of the life,
save me from a humiliating enemy!
Do not give me into the hand of a judge
who is severe with sin!
Forgive me all my debts of the days of my life!
Because I am alive in you, your grace is alive in me.
I have renounced everyone, but you I have confessed.
Save me from evil affliction!
Now is the time and the hour.
O set-apart Spirit, send my Salvation,
the light of his countenance,
the light of his face
in the power of his righteousness.
Prayer for Direction
Heavenly Father, clearly show us the road that
leads to the New Jerusalem – that we might make an intelligent decision as
to where we should go and how we might get there by the most direct
route. Amein.

The Prayer for Change
based on
Healing Scriptures
In the Name of Yahshua, we make a decision to change. We will turn our
wills over to the Almighty One. We desire to change and gain a deeper
knowledge as we look into the mirror of his Word. We will apply the
truths we learn day by day. We will guard the entrances to our hearts and
defend our minds from sloth and decay. We will be selective to what
we accept and reject – we will accept that which comes from above. We
disassociate from past errors and open ourselves to correction.
We will open our hearts and minds to our Heavenly Father, our source, and
to our Savior, Messiah, our foundation stone. We will sow into the lives
of others not weeds, but fruit trees. We declare our change is at
hand. Yes, it is see-able. It is do-able. We declare our
change! With your help, we will be a set-apart nation, a royal priesthood:
ambassadors for your Kingdom and future glory.
Amhn!
PRAYER FOR A VOID IN BENEVOLENT POWER
O YAH of earth and altar,
bow down and hear our cry,
Our earthly rulers falter, our people drift and die;
The walls of gold entomb us, the swords of scorn divide;
Take not Thy thunder from us, but take away our pride.
From all that terror teaches, from lies of
tongue and pen,
From all the easy speeches that comfort cruel men;
From sale and profanation of honor and the sword;
From sleep and from damnation, deliver us, Strong Cord!
Tie in a living tether, the prince and
priest and thrall;
Bind all our lives together, smite us and save us all;
In ire and exultation aflame with faith and free,
Lift up a living nation, a single sword to Thee.

Prayer of
Faithful Children
Gentle Yahshua, meek
and mild, look upon your little child.
Make me gentle as Thou art. Come and live within my heart.
Take my childish hand in Thine; guide these little feet of mine.
So shall all my happy days sing their pleasant song of praise.
{In the faith that you bestow, let me ever greater grow.} –jhs
{Though my birthdays all come due, I’ll remain a child in you.} –jhs
So the world shall always see that sweet, set-apart Child, in me.

Thou
Bleeding Wreath
Yah, upon my head, a wreath; I shall ever
dwell beneath.
Plaited orb of verity branch’d and blossoming in me.
Not a dry crown nor a dead, but a thriving on my head,
Sprouting grapes, so ripe and rife; bleeding fruit that saves my life.
O, my Father, let it be ever growing as a tree.
Shooting forth from this dear flesh many fruits, diverse and fresh.

new setting of Odes of Solomon #1
Breakfast
Harriet Beecher Stowe (1812-1896)
1.
Still, still with Thee, when purple morning breaketh,
When the bird waketh, and the shadows flee;
Fairer than morning, lovelier than daylight,
Dawns the sweet consciousness, I am with Thee.
2.
As in the dawning, o'er the waveless ocean,
The image of the morning star doth rest,
So in this stillness Thou beholdest only
Thine image in the waters of my breast.
3.
When sinks the soul, subdued by toil, to slumber,
Its closing eye looks up to Thee in prayer;
Sweet the repose, beneath Thy wings o'ershadowing,
But sweeter still to wake and find Thee there.
4.
So shall it be at last, in that bright morning
When the soul waketh, and life's shadows flee;
Oh, in that hour, fairer than daylight's dawning,
Shall rise the glorious thought, I am with Thee!

Litany for Resurrections
Prayer: Father in Heaven, of power and
majesty:
On that blessed Sabbath you raised
Yahshua your son
and delivered him and us from
death’s destruction.
We praise you on this bright day for
all your gifts of new life.
Especially we thank you
for all victories over sin and evil
in our lives . . .
for loyalty and love of friends and
family . . .
for the newborn, the newly baptized,
and those now in your eternal home
. . .
for the renewal of nature . . .
for the continuing witness to the
Messiah by the congregation . . .
Creator of eternity:
You are present with us because of
Messiah’s rising from the dead,
and you persist in lifting us to new
life in him.
We bring to you our prayers for this
world in need of resurrection.
Especially we pray
for those who have done and are
doing battle against evil . . .
for all nations and peoples in
strife . . .
for the poor and impoverished, at
home and abroad . . .
for those we know in particular
circumstances of distress . . .
for the diseased and the dying . . .
for all who follow the risen Messiah
. . . ;
through the same Yahshua, the Messiah
and our Master. Amein.

I Haven't Time to Pray
Early
up each morning, I rush on into my day.
So much to accomplish; I just haven’t time to pray.
I know all the desperate needs; But I must stay on task.
Can’t Yah care for desperate needs? I haven’t time to ask!
I know this old world is wasting, and the future’s bleak.
Can’t Yah take his time to pray? I haven’t time to seek.
Someone’s calling on the phone, then I must check my stock,
‘Tween the postman and my shows, I haven’t time to knock.
Asking, seeking, knocking, praying – that would take all day;
Now you see when you’re like me you haven’t time to pray.
-Snyder
You watch the news, right? You see
pitiful situations on the news every day. Why? Because you’re supposed
to do something about these situations. You’re supposed to pray.
Pay attention! Write down a couple of the destroyed people you see on the
news, then take your little paper into a quiet place and spend half an
hour every day praying about what you learned. Just a half hour a
day – you’d only miss one episode of The Flintstones or one appearance
of Jan Crouch on TV. That’s all. You’ll make a far greater difference if
you’ll just pray for a half hour a day.
Start your pray like this –
“Father
Yahweh, I come to you in the name of Yahshua. May your Kingdom
come and your will be done in each of these situations I’ve
learned about on the news.”
Go on from there. If that’s all you
know about praying, get a prayer book or take a hymnal. Start out as I
said, then READ some prayers out of the book if you need to. If you’ll
make a practice of this, you’ll cause a tectonic prayer shift in
the balance of the universe. Many will find the Kingdom, even in the very
midst of their personal disaster. And Yahshua
’ face will shine upon YOU and
give YOU peace as well.
PRAYER OF
MANASSEH
1 O Yahweh Almighty, El of our ancestors, of
Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and of their righteous offspring; 2 you who
made heaven and earth with all their order; 3 who shackled the sea by your
word of command, who confined the deep and sealed it with your terrible
and glorious name; 4 at whom all things shudder, and tremble before your
power, 5 for your glorious splendor cannot be borne, and the wrath of your
threat to sinners is unendurable; 6 yet immeasurable and unsearchable is
your promised mercy, 7 for you are Yahweh Most High, of great compassion,
long-suffering, and very merciful, and you relent at human suffering.
O Yahweh, according to your great goodness you
have promised repentance and forgiveness to those who have sinned against
you, and in the multitude of your mercies you have appointed repentance
for sinners, so that they may be saved. 8 Therefore you, O Yahweh, El of
the righteous, have not appointed repentance for the righteous, for
Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, who did not sin against you, but you have
appointed repentance for me, who am a sinner.
9 For the sins I have committed are more in
number than the sand of the sea; my transgressions are multiplied, O
Yahweh, they are multiplied! I am not worthy to look up and see the height
of heaven because of the multitude of my iniquities. 10 I am weighted
down with many an iron fetter, so that I am rejected because of my sins,
and I have no relief; for I have provoked your wrath and have done what is
evil in your sight, setting up abominations and multiplying offenses.
11 And now I bend the knee of my heart, imploring
you for your kindness. 12 I have sinned, O Yahweh, I have sinned, and I
acknowledge my transgressions. 13 I earnestly implore you, forgive me, O
Yahweh, forgive me! Do not destroy me with my transgressions! Do not be
angry with me forever or store up evil for me; do not condemn me to the
depths of the earth. For you, O Yahweh, are the El of those who repent,
14 and in me you will manifest your goodness; for, unworthy as I am, you
will save me according to your great mercy, 15 and I will praise you
continually all the days of my life. For all the host of heaven sings your
praise, and yours is the glory forever. Amen.
I Want to Walk As A
Child of the Light
I want to
walk as a child of the light. I want to follow Yahshua.
Yah set the stars to give light to the world. The star of my life is
Yahshua.
In him there is no darkness at all. The night and the day are both
alike.
The Lamb is the light of the city of Yah. Shine in my heart, Yahshua.
I want to see the brightness of Yah. I want to look at Yahshua.
Clear sun of righteousness, shine on my path, and show me the way to the
Father.
I’m looking for the coming of Messiah
. I want to be with Yahshua.
When we have run the patience the race, we shall know the joy of Yahshua.

A Beautiful Picture of
Father and Son
It
would be such a beautiful picture of Yah –
proud – holding a son close upon his old heart,
Examining fingers and toes and his soul,
exploring each new and near perfect-formed part.
This
Father employed the rude pottery wheel
to fashion his son to his righteous demand,
And to
fire his skin and to sharpen his mind;
strong legs, ‘gainst his foes, he was rendered to stand,
With
piercing, discerning young eyes and keen ears,
designed so that truth might be seen and be heard
And be
told with a mouth for the heavenly word:
a word that sprouts wings, branches just like a bird.
How
proud must the Father have felt all those years,
to witness his Son thrive in life and in limb,
So to
lead many brothers and sisters and kin
to a full-grown maturity, all just like Him. -jhs 2005
Gulf War Prayer:
Father,
Lead us from
death to life, from falsehood to truth.
Lead us from
despair to hope, from fear to trust.
Lead us from
hate to love, from war to peace.
Let peace
fill our hearts, our world, our universe. Amen.
A Beautiful Life /
The Golden Deed
1. Each day I'll do
a golden deed By helping those who are in need;
My life on earth is but a span, And so I'll do the best I can.
Refrain:
Life's evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go
To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun.
2. To be a child of
Yah each day, My light must shine along the way;
I'll sing His praise while ages roll And strive to help some troubled
soul.
3. The only life
that will endure, Is one that's kind and good and pure;
And so for Yah I'll take my stand, Each day I'll lend a helping hand.
4. I'll help someone
in time of need, And journey on with rapid speed;
I'll help the sick and poor and weak, And words of kindness to them speak.
5. While going down
life's weary road I'll try to lift some trav'ler's load;
I'll try to turn the night to day, Make flowers bloom along the way.
- William M. Golden, 1918
Twas Love That Urged Him On
The Savior! what a
noble flame was kindled in his breast,
When hasting to Jerusalem, he march'd before the rest!
Goodwill to men and Father’s zeal, his other thoughts forsake:
He longs to be baptiz'd with blood, he pants to reach the stake.
With all his suff'rings full in view, And woes, to us unknown,
Forth to the task his spirit flew, 'Twas love that urg'd him on.
Master, we give back what we can! Our hearts shall sound as One,
Salvation, to the dying Man, and to the rising Son!
And while thy bleeding glories here engage our wond'ring eyes;
We learn the lighter stake we bear, and hasten to the skies.
- William Cowper,
The Olney Hymns
Awake, my soul,
stretch every nerve, and press with vigor on;
A heavenly race demands thy zeal and an immortal crown.
A cloud of witnesses around hold thee in full survey:
Forget the steps already trod, and onward urge thy way.
'Tis Yah's all animating voice that calls thee from on high;
'Tis his own hand presents the prize to thine aspiring eye.
Then wake, my soul, stretch every nerve, and press with vigor on;
A heavenly race demands thy zeal, and an immortal crown.

Doddridge (1702-1731)
PRAYER of the NEW MAN from the Gospel of Thomas:
O YAH, there are many around the drinking trough
but nothing in the cistern. Lead us to the New Wine so that we can become
the New Man. Show us how to make the two one, the inside like the outside
the outside like the inside, the above like the below, the male and the
female as one, fashioning eyes in place of an eye, hands in place of a
hand, feet in place of a foot, and a new likeness in place of the old
likeness, so we might enter into your kingdom. (From
The Gospel of Thomas 74 & 22)
For One Who Reads Scripture In Public
- 1
Father, invest me
with Your Power as I prepare to proclaim the marvel of Your Message. I
have prepared my reading and tried to assimilate the meaning of what I am
about to say: help me, I ask you, to read not just with my lips but with
my whole heart and soul. Make me a hollow reed so that Your Voice will be
heard by all who hear me. Free me of excessive concern over my
performance and the impression I create in this Sacred Action. Turn all
my apprehensions into an energy for proclaiming Your Word with power and
authority. May Your Spirit fill me as it fills the set-apart Words that I am
about to proclaim. Amen.
For One Who Reads Scripture In Public
- 2
Praise to you,
Yahweh Elohim, king of the universe, and all glory to your name. I praise
you and thank you for calling me to proclaim your word to your beloved
people. Open the hearts of all who worship with us, so that they may hear
your voice when I read. Let nothing in my life or manner disturb your
people or close their hearts to the action of your Spirit. Cleanse my
heart and mind, and open my lips so that I may proclaim your glory. All
praise to you, heavenly Father, through the Sovereign Yahshua in the
set-apart
Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
For Long-distance
Healing of an Individual
Father Yahweh, We thank you for ____ and his family, who have been so
kind to us in our past visits and fellowships. Now we ask for and claim
the benefits that you offer us – that those who are ill might be
anointed and the prayer of faith might bring them to recovery (James
5). Let this be so for ______ and speedily in the name of Yahshua our
Anointed One. Amein.
Litany of Prayer for the Passion of Messiah
One:
Father, strong and merciful, by the suffering and death of your Son, free
us from slavery to sin and death and protect us in all our weakness;
through Yahshua the Anointed One our Savior. Amein.
-

Two:
set-apart and compassionate Father, your dear Son went not up to joy before he
suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified.
Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it
the way of life and peace; through Yahshua the Anointed One your Son, our Savior.

Three:
Most merciful Yahweh, your blessed Son, our Savior, was betrayed,
whipped, and his face spat upon. Grant us grace to endure the sufferings
of the present time, to overcome all that seeks to overwhelm us,
confident of the glory that shall yet be revealed; through Yahshua
Messiah our Redeemer. Amein.

Four:
Our Father, by the example of your Son, our Savior Yahshua the Anointed
One, you
taught us the greatness of true humility, and call us to watch with him
in his passion. Give us grace to serve one another in all lowliness, and
to enter into the fellowship of his suffering; in his name and for his
sake. Amein.

Orchard, England, 20th Cent.
Five:
Lamb of Yahweh,
what a dark and empty day this would be for me if you had not willingly
died on the cross! Your suffering and your death should have been mine.
Impress upon me the joy that even your Passion should bring into my life.
For by your death you made it possible for me to experience a Father’s
love and forgiveness every day. Help me never to live as though your
death was for nothing. Rather help me live as one who has died to sin and
been made alive for righteousness. Hear me for the sake of your innocent
suffering and death. Amein.

set-apart Spirit Prayer of Invocation
O set-apart Spirit, by
whose breath life rises vibrant out of death:
Come to create, renew, inspire; Come kindle in our hearts your fire.
You are the seeker’s sure resource, of burning love and living source,
Protector in the midst of strife, Thou giver and the Lord of Life.
In you God’s energy is shown, to us your varied gifts made known.
Yours is the tongue and yours the ear. Teach us to speak, teach us to
hear.
Flood our dull senses with your light; in mutual love our hearts unite.
Your power the whole creation fills; confirm our weak, uncertain wills.
For Self-anointing with Oil for

Father Yahweh:
I claim the promise of James the Just -
I will get better.
Anointed with the sacred oil,
just as in his letter.
For righteous persons such as me,
Great miracles of healing see;
So grant, by faith, that I will be -
unloosed from every fetter. (James 5:14)

A
Seven Step Act of Self-Anointing with Healing Prayer
Pray this prayer:
(1) Yahweh Rapha, lover of my soul, I come to you with a repentant heart
knowing you have forgiven my iniquity and that you desire to heal all my
diseases according to the Scriptures (Ps 103:1-3). This day I have need
of your powerful healing touch in a particular area of my body.
(2) So I now take
up the mantle of authority you have vested in me and in all believers by
virtue of the blessed shed blood of my Savior Yahshua Messiah.
(3) By that great
power I command any spiritual presence that would seek to hinder
my restoration to flee from me immediately: Go to the feet of Yahshua
Messiah for him to dispense with you as he wills. (pause)
(4) Now I call
upon the creative force of the Logos and the protective force of the
Raphaim (Raf-fa-eem’, or angels of healing): Father Yahweh, save
your servant (say your name) for the sake of Messiah and those who
love me.
(5) I now anoint
my body (or my surgery or a particular place on my body) with
this blessed oil in the name of Yahshua of Nazareth (who used oil to heal
all manner of diseases): This visible oil that I feel, is
representative of the invisible healing name Yahweh, which I may not feel but
I believe is working in me even now.
(6) I lay my hands
upon myself in great faith as though Yahshua himself were touching me. I
ask you now, Yahweh Rapha, to channel the healing of your dear Son
through these hands, which you have recreated in your image. (Remain in
an attitude of quiet expectation for a few minutes with hands on body.
Open yourself to receive what is yours by right.)
(7) (Raise hands
above head in surrender.) Now I thank you, Father, Son and Ruach
ha Kodesh, for bringing total health and wholeness to me, your servant and friend,
and I shall give you the praise and kavod for my healing and recreation
now and forevermore. Amein.
FOR RAIN
Our Elohim and
Elohim of our fathers, remember Abraham who yearned for Your Presence,
whom You blessed as a tree planted by streams of water; You shielded and
rescued him from fire and water as he sowed his seed wherever there flowed
water. For his sake, send Your gift of water. Remember Isaac whose father
was ready to offer him as a sacrifice to You, to shed his blood like
water. Yet his own faith soared high, and trusting in You, he dug wells
and found water. For his sake, send Your gift of water. Remember Yahshua,
whom you sent to gather the twelve tribes of Israel and bless them. Though
they executed him on a stake, still you blessed them with pure rain.
Remember these twelve tribes of Israel and the mixed multitude, for whom
You parted the water; and for whom you sweetened the bitter waters. Their
children were ever ready to serve You and to shed their blood like water.
O turn in mercy to us for we are engulfed by hostile tides of water. For
their sake, send Your gift of water. For You are Yahweh our Elohim, who
causes the wind to blow and the rain to descend:
For blessing and
not for disaster. Amēn.
For life and not for death. Amēn.
For abundance and not for famine. Amēn.
We give thanks for
the miracles, the redeeming wonders, and the mighty deeds by which our
people are being saved at this season of the year as in days of old. We
thank you for mighty rains.
Prayers for Healing from Cancer
Precious Anointed Yahshua,
Look with mercy and compassion upon our brother / sister. To
your glory and the glory of your Father, pour out the Set-apart Spirit
as anointing oil to heal our sister. Anointed Yahshua, you are the
Great Physician. Take away her pain, speed her recovery, begin a work
even now that will restore and renew her.
Spare her further disfigurement and regenerate past damage. If
surgery is a must, O Anointed One, bless the physicians and surgeons,
whom you have created, gifted, and called to be healers and helpers.
Make them better than they could ever be on their own. Re-create them
perfect instruments of your healing, fit for your use.
Guide their minds, imaginations, and hands. Let all that is done for
her by the doctors be to her greatest profit and benefit and healing.
Yet we call upon the name of the Anointed Yahshua-Yahweh to bring
miraculous healing – complete healing. By His authority, I rebuke this
cancer, and any spirits of cancer or infirmity. Eradicate this cancer
to the uttermost cell. Unclean spirits of cancer, disease, and
infirmity, I command you straightway back to Yahshua Messiah for his
judgment, for his judgment alone is true.
Set-apart Father, pour out your peace upon our sister – that perfect
peace that passes understanding, that is "unlike anything that the world
can give." Do this all in Yahshua's name to the esteem of the Father.
Hallelu Yah. (Banks Brazell)
We pray you, blessed Yahweh, for a healing
miracle for our sister, a woman whom we cherish. We know that you are
not stingy with your restorative power, for you've preserved us through
every difficulty for all these many years together. Today is no
exception. Pour out your curing balm upon her body from head to toe,
touching especially the area to be restored, that we might have
all the more reason to praise you and testify to your power.
Restore! Restore! In the name of Yahshua
Messiah and believing by his shed blood and resurrection. Amein
Acts of Anointing and Prayer
for Healing
Healing Poem:
At even, ere the sun had set,
The sick, O Yah, around thee lay;
O in what diverse pains they met! O with what joy they went
away!
Once more ‘tis eventide, and we oppressed by various ills draw near;
What is thy form we cannot see? We know and feel that thou art here.
Thy touch has still its ancient power; no word from thee can fruitless
fall;
Hear, in this solemn evening hour, and
in thy mercy heal us all.
(Henry Twells)
Thanksgiving
for Oil: O Father Yahweh,
the giver of health and salvation, we give thanks to you for the gift of
oil. As your set-apart shlikim (apostles) anointed many who were
sick and healed them, so pour out your set-apart spirit on us and on
this gift, that those who in faith and repentance receive this anointing
may be made whole; through Yahshua the Anointed One (Yahshua Moshiach)
our Sovereign. Hallelu Yah. (UMBOW)
Prayer for
Healing with Anointing and Laying on of Hands:
Name, I anoint you with oil in the name of Yahshua the Anointed
One, your Savior and Healer for the healing of the name of the
affliction. May the power of Yahweh’s indwelling presence heal you
of all illnesses (or, Be healed of all illnesses through the indwelling
of Yahweh’s presence) – of body, mind, spirit and relationships – that
you may serve the Almighty with a loving heart. Tetelestai! (adapted
from UMBOW)
Informal
Prayer of Healing: Sovereign
Yahshua the Nazorean, we bring to you our friend name who needs
your healing. As we anoint her and lay our hands on her,
may she feel your touch of love and power. Take from her
the pain, the stress and the tension and restore her to wholeness
of body and mind. We trust you to act in wisdom and love. Give her,
above all, the completeness of spirit that will enable her to
live according to your perfect will and to esteem you better whether in
sickness or in health. Hallelu Yah.
For Sabbath Workers
Father Yahweh
Elohim, I ask you to remember your words through the Messenger, "Put me to the test and see if I don’t open
the floodgates of heaven and pour out an abundant blessing for you" (Mal
3:8). I want to be in your perfect will and Observe your Sabbath day
properly. Make a way for me
to do this - and I will do it, I promise.”
A Good Word / Benediction
May
the presence of Yahweh the Creator give us strength;
May the presence of Yahweh the Redeemer give us peace;
May
the presence of Yahweh the Sustainer give us comfort;
May
the presence of Yahweh the Sanctifier give us love. Amein.
For the Running
Loving Father, Here I am calling on you now. You've
loved me despite myself. You've sacrificed your son for me. You've
sought after me.
Please forgive me for running away, for my sins
against myself and others, and for hurting your feelings.
You're knocking, and I'm opening my heart's door to
you. Come in and make me complete. Empower me with your love. Help me to
live a life worthy of you, by overcoming my own weakness through your
strength, by winning out against the powers that would separate me from
you; by loving, caring for, and seeking out others.
Thank you for saving me from anger and eternal
death. Now help me to share my new faith. For Yahshua's sake and my own.
Amein.
Guided Meditation Through the Temple
I would like to guide you in a meditative prayer. See yourself now as a temple building. You might choose this church to be you. You might choose your home. You might choose a great cathedral. But whatever you choose, see that building
as you. Look out your front door. See Yahshua standing outside. He is knocking at the door of your
temple. Now swing wide your doors and
let him in. Stretch forth a hand from
your temple and take his hand in yours.
Walk him in now, and down the aisle of your temple. Show him its beauty, if it’s beautiful. Show him its ugliness, if it’s ugly. Lead him to the altar of your temple. Kneel with him there. He puts his hand upon your shoulder. You hear yourself praying this prayer:
My Father
and my Creator Yahweh, have mercy upon my soul. By my very nature, I am a rebel against your authority and
government. I want to be reconciled to
you. I want to turn from my own way
unto your way. I no longer wish to be a
temple of myself, but a temple of your Set-apart Spirit.
Yahshua, I
believe you came once to die to save my temple from destruction. I believe that you overcame death and are
ruling the hearts and temples of believers everywhere. I believe you have come into my temple to
cleanse it and make it Set-apart, so that your Set-apart Spirit may live in me. Come into
my temple, Set-apart Spirit, and wash me clean.
I open every door to you. I open
every room to you. I take captive every
thought of my mind and present them to you.
Take my temple; take each room; take every thought and intention and
mold them into a shrine of your compassion for me.
From now
on I will seek to know you and follow after you wherever you may go, that when
my earthly temple breaks down, I may live in your temple for eternity. Amein.
Now you and
Yahshua rise from
your knees at the altar of your temple and you present to him a key. This key opens every room in your
temple. Say to Yahshua, “Take the key,
Master. Open and cleanse every room of
my temple.” Now see Yahshua receiving the
key. Now he is going from room to room
in your temple. The religion room. The recreation room. The fellowship hall. The room of dreams. The room of relationships. See him now opening a cluttered and filthy
closet. Don’t be afraid to show him the
closet – he will cleanse it, not you.
After he has opened every room, invite him to take the pulpit in your
temple. See him rise into the
pulpit. Now you take a seat in your
temple in the front row. Look up at
him. You see him in the pulpit of your
temple and your love him. And you see
that he loves you, too. Finally you
say, “Take all authority in my temple.
Teach me, Master. Fill my temple
full of your love and doctrine.” Now
just sit silently for a few moments and watch what Yahshua does.
For the
True Assembly
Prayer:
Father, encourage us to join the true assembly, which is the eternal body
of Yahshua Messiah, where we may worship you in spirit and truth, unencumbered by
doctrines bound to keep us ignorant and people bound to keep us oppressed. In your Set-apart Spirit of freedom we pray. Amein.
Daniel's Prayer of Blessing
Daniel 2:20.
"Blessed be the name of El for ever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and
might. 21. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up
kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have
understanding; 22. he reveals deep and mysterious things; he knows what is
in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. 23. To thee, O Elohim of
my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for thou hast given me wisdom and
strength, and hast now made known to me what we asked of thee, for thou
hast made known to us the king's matter."
Prayer By Name and Power
Jeremiah 7:21ff
Father, your words were found and
I ate them. They became a joy and the
delight of my heart. Now I am called by
your name, O Yahweh Sabaoth, Commander of Hosts.
Psalms 85:11ff
Truth
shall spring
out
of the
earth;
and
righteousness
shall look
down
from
heaven.
Righteousness
shall
go
before
him; and shall
set
us in the
way
of his
steps.
St. Jude’s
Benediction
1. To him who is able to keep us from falling,
2. and carry us into his glorious presence,
3. both faultless and joyful: to our sky-bound Father,
4. through Iesu Anointed, our master, be glory,
5. and majesty, might and authority, even
6. from ages long past and from now and forever,
7. amen and amen. Hallelujah, amen.
Growing Older Prayer
Dear Set-apart Spirit, the things of the Spirit
are the only realities that age cannot weary.
And the spirit that reaches out to Spirit is, in time, set free from the
flush and quiver of ambition, the fleeting joys of status and possessions, and
the physical indignities of age. Master,
as we grow older, may we be blessed with faith enough to make the journey from
aging body to ageless life. Amein. (Frank Topping)
Confession and Promise To Do Right
Almighty Father, Master of Hosts, we make our
confession to you and to the world this day.
As believers in Yahshua’ fleshly appearance, his death for all humanity
and his resurrection for all eternity, we renounce the forces of evil in all
forms: we renounce injustice, hatred and intolerance; we renounce apathy,
racism and sexism; we renounce indecency, slothfulness and all manner of
iniquity. We will not live in the
desert wasteland of unrighteousness any longer; we are coming into the light. We will not merely think about the right or
how righteous we might feel if we did the right, but we will do the right
thing, the righteous thing, even if we must force ourselves to do it, even if
we are chastised by the world for doing it.
We know if we will do the right thing sacrificially, you will take over
and see to our total conversion.
We thank you for
the good examples that you have raised up in our church; they are truly gifts
to us and especially to our children.
The fervent prayers of the righteous avail much, and the fervent lives
of the faithful anchor our souls in the truth.
Help us to emulate our righteous church elders even as we continually
seek to imitate our Master, Yahshua Messiah.
For it’s in his righteous name we pray.
Amen.
APOSTLES’ CREED – Modified Ecumenical Version
I believe in one
Elohim, the Father Almighty,
creator
of heaven and earth
I believe in
Yahshua Messiah, his only Son, our Master,
who was
conceived by the Set-apart Spirit,
born of
the Virgin Maryah,
suffered
under Pontius Pilate,
was
crucified, died, and was buried;
he
descended to the dead.
On the
third day he rose again;
he
ascended into heaven,
is
seated at the right hand of the Father,
and
will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the
Set-apart Spirit,
the
set-apart elect universal,
the
communion of saints,
the
forgiveness of sins,
the
resurrection of the body
and the
life everlasting. Amein.
For Commissioning Apostles and Missionaries
Heavenly Father, since the time of the Apostles you have inspired the
Assembly to commission certain members to assist in the servant mission of
Messiah. Bless these deacons, servants of yours, (names), along with all other men and women fulfilling the mission of our
assembly. May they continue to be strong yet humble in their ministries. May they be examples that encourage others in service. May they remain faith-inspired and in good health and spirit. We ask this through
Messiah, our Master.
For Our Fathers
For
our fathers, who have given us life and love, that we may show them respect and
love, we pray to you, Heavenly Father…
For fathers who have lost a child
through death, that their faith may give them hope, and their family and
friends console them, we pray to you, Heavenly Father…
For men, though without children of their own, who like
fathers have nurtured and cared for us, we pray to you, Heavenly Father…
For
fathers, who have been unable to be a source of strength, who have not
responded to their children and have not sustained their families, we pray to
you, Heavenly Father…
Yahweh our Father, in your wisdom
and love you made all things.
Bless these men, that they may be strengthened as Believing
fathers. Let the example of their
faith and love shine forth. Grant
that we, their sons and daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of
profound respect.
Grant this through
Yahshua our
Savior. Amen.
For Healing and Deliverance
“Now Father, We pray with all
our being that ______’s faith will be strengthened beyond all understanding,
her body will be at rest in spite of sick episodes and that Yahweh will raise
her up to even greater heights than she has already attained in your
service.
“The devil may be attempting
to sway ______’s belief and destroy her will to persevere, but she can and will
prevail against these forces of darkness and will allow her
deliverance to arrive in a miraculous way that will cause all people to say,
‘Surely this has to be of Yahweh for the medical profession has failed
her.’
“We pray for ______ to claim
her deliverance and submit herself to the mighty hand of Elohim, knowing that he
will ease her pain and suffering and bring her through this entire ordeal. Let her call upon Yahweh now with absolute
faith and her deliverance will surely manifest. Hallelujah! Amein.”
To Rediscover Our National Heritage
Father, may we as nation be guided by the Divine to rediscover our
national heritage, which so many have given their lives to safeguard; Let the
wounds of separation and division be healed by opening our hearts to listen to
the truth, allowing us to find a higher truth; May we learn to honor and enjoy
our differences as a people, even as we more deeply touch our fundamental
unity; May we draw forth individuals to lead our nation who embody courage,
compassion and a higher vision; May our leaders inspire us, and we so inspire
each other that a new spirit of forgiveness, caring and honesty be born herein;
May we move with clear, directed purpose to help build a better future for all
humankind; May we as a nation rededicate ourselves to living as one nation,
under YHWH, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all; And may Yahweh’s Will
be done for our country, as we, the people, align with that Will. Amein.
